CARE 2022

CARE 2022 built on the momentum of the inaugural 2018 conference, placing climate adaptation firmly at the forefront of Hong Kong’s policy and development agenda. With strong support from government, finance, academia, and industry, it highlighted major advances in research, planning, and infrastructure while identifying remaining gaps and mobilizing collective action toward a more resilient, carbon-neutral future.
As Hong Kong’s significant large-scale conference dedicated to climate adaptation, CARE 2022 attracted broad attention across the public and private sectors, bringing together more than 800 participants for policy-focused discussions on strengthening the city’s climate resilience.
Hosted by HKUST shortly after COP27, the 2022 edition expanded its agenda to cover both climate adaptation and mitigation, underscoring the need for integrated, science-based climate action.
